Zinc Phosphate Dental Cement is prepared by mixing zinc oxide and magnesium oxide powders with a liquid consisting principally of phosphoric acid, water, and buffers. Zinc phosphate cement is commonly used for luting permanent metal restorations and as a base for dental restorations for cementation of inlays, crowns, bridges, and orthodontic appliances.

Aluminum Phosphate is an aluminum salt used as an adjuvant for the incorporation of aluminum ions in the liquid phase of dental cements for the purpose of accelaerating the setting of the dental cement.

Magnesium Oxide, Light Powder, USP is a white solid mineral that is hygroscopic.  It is used in dental cements to strengthen bonding.  Spectrum Chemical manufactured USP products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Magnesium Oxide, Heavy Powder, USP  is a white solid mineral that is hygroscopic.   It is used in dental cements to strengthen bonding.  Spectrum Chemical manufactured USP products are manufactured, packaged and stored under current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).

Phosphoric Acid, NF is a also known under the name othophosphoric acid.  A mineral acid that is often used for dental cements based on the vigorous reaction which occurs between certain basic oxides and phosphoric acid to form phosphate salt of low solubility.

Colloidal Silicon Dioxide, NF is used in fillers in different dental filling materials such as glass-ionomer and zinc-based cements to improve the mechanical properties by increasing physical resistance and reduce polymerization shrinkage.

Stannous Fluoride, Oral Grade is used in zinc phosphate dental cements for the slow time release benefits of fluoride.

Purified Water, USP is widely used as an solvent ingredient in dental products such as teeth whiteners and dental cements.

Zinc Oxide, USP is an inorganic compound that is a common ingredient in dental cements for its antibacterial properties and zinc oxide is on the U.S. FDA's list of generally recognized as safe, or GRAS, substances.
